Do you do everything that you can to achieve Success and you're not quite reaching the level that you know you deserve? Are your efforts frustrating you because your results are not matching them? If this resonates, then this is the blog for you.
A great reminder of the 5 Steps to Success. Follow these to see, hear and feel Success in whatever area of life you choose!
Know your outcome – What specifically do you want?
Know what you want, the purpose for which you want it, and make sure your desired outcome is ‘ecological’ - good for you and for the people you care about (and for your community and the planet) in the widest possible sense. Often people are not sure of what they want. The best ways to discover this is to work out what you don’t want (the answer is usually the opposite). It’s usuful to elicit your values (your internal motivators) for the area of life that you are setting the outcome for. What is Important to you will motivate you!
Take Action - Do something about it every day!
Take action to make your outcome happen - nothing is going to happen unless you do this (This is the part that the Law of Attraction misses out!) The results you get, whatever they are, will provide you with useful additional information to learn from and move forward There is no Failure - Only Feedback.
Switch Your Senses on - Notice what is happening – is it working?
Are you on the right track? (have sensory acuity). Notice the results you get from your actions. Are your actions taking you closer, or further away, from your goal? Consider all effects and consequences in addition to the obvious, immediate ones. Sensory Acuity is the No1 Foundation Skill in NLP.
Be flexible – if it’s not working, then change your approach and your plan.
If what you have been doing isn’t working, do something else (have behavioural flexibility). If you are unsure of the next steps to take towards flexibility: Keep taking a new approach Step outside of your comfort zone Be flexible in your approach Change your Behaviour and your tactics until you discover what WILL work. The person with the most Behavioural Flexibility will have the most Control
Work from a Psychology and Physiology of excellence
Be fully responsible for the achievement of your Goals and your Success. Your Mind and your Body are connected and work as one complete system. The way that you breathe, your posture and overall physical wellbeing affects your thoughts, your mindset and your internal emotional state. Being in optimum state - physically, emotionally, mentally will have a direct effect on the results that you see in life.
You are capable of some much more than you think you are!
